THE MOGUMBER HUB
It’s more than a pub, it’s the Hub of our community.
The Mogumber Outback Club purchased the historic Mogumber Tavern in December 2022, and the freehold land, building & business became community owned under their incorporated association. The Mogumber Outback Club elected a subcommittee known as the Mogumber Hub Board. The seven Board Members have volunteered their business knowledge and experience to progress the early stages and strategic direction of the project.
A foundation donation drive saw over 100 community members donate $1000 each, raising the initial renovation funds. The building is approximately 130 years old, and it was time to overhaul the plumbing, electrics, and interior surfaces. The ceiling was raised back to the original tall height, exposing the historic brickwork and chimney remnants. Majority of the renovations were completed by local volunteers, with several community busy bees conducted.
After an intensive six months of interior renovations, the establishment reopened on the 10th June 2023. The name Mogumber Hub was selected, reflecting the social benefits of the community’s meeting place. The not-for-profit venue provides the food & beverage needs of the district, while returning profits back into community purpose.
SUPPORT THE MOGUMBER HUB
The next phase of the Mogumber Hub renovation is just around the corner. The community is working hard to fundraise and plan the next step including an overhaul of the building’s exterior, beer garden, kids entertainment area, addition of draft beer and expansion of the kitchen.
